Trusted Disposal from Maillardville to Burke Mountain
Coquitlam is a city of contrast—from the historic charm of Maillardville to the steep, winding neighbourhoods of Westwood Plateau and the booming developments on Burke Mountain. Managing a project here requires a waste disposal partner who understands the terrain and the local bylaws.
At Trash King, we have been serving Coquitlam for years. We provide sturdy, reliable bin rentals for homeowners, contractors, and property managers. Whether you are tackling a renovation in Austin Heights or managing a new build in the Foothills, we deliver the right bin, on time, every time.
Navigating Coquitlam’s Unique Landscape
Coquitlam isn’t flat. Many of our customers live on steep inclines or have sloped driveways, particularly in areas like Westwood Plateau and Ranch Park.
Why does this matter? Because you need a driver who knows what they are doing. Trash King drivers are experienced in navigating Coquitlam’s hills. We know how to safely position a bin on a slope to ensure it is stable, accessible for loading, and easy to pick up without damaging your property.

Frequently Asked Questions (Coquitlam)
My driveway is very steep. Can I still rent a bin? In most cases, yes. Our drivers are highly skilled at placing bins on slopes. However, for safety reasons, we may need to see the site or discuss specific placement instructions (like placing the bin at the bottom of the driveway) before delivery.
Do I need a permit to put the bin on the street? The City of Coquitlam generally requires a Highway Use Permit if you intend to place a disposal bin on public property, such as a street or boulevard. If the bin is on your private driveway, no permit is needed.
What about “Bear Smart” rules? Coquitlam takes bear safety seriously. You absolutely cannot put household garbage containing food scraps or attractants into our open-top construction bins. These bins are strictly for construction debris, old furniture, wood, and green waste.
How do I dispose of old drywall? Drywall (gypsum) is a regulated material in Metro Vancouver due to asbestos concerns. It must be kept separate from other garbage. If you have drywall to toss, please let us know when booking so we can explain the testing and bagging requirements.
