How it works
Choose the project and roughly what is going in the bin. We deliver a DIY roll-off to the agreed spot. You or your own crew load it. When you are ready, we pick it up and handle disposal. That is the whole model — disposal bin rental, not a labour junk crew that empties rooms for you. We support residential and commercial jobs across the region with the same DIY roll-off approach. Tell us whether the drop is a house driveway, a strata pad, or a job-site approach so dispatch can plan the truck path. Keep walkways and overhead clearances in mind before the truck arrives — that saves a second trip more often than any brochure promise.

What size for a Greater Vancouver project
Match the bin to the job and the material weight — volume is not the same as weight. Our live sizes are 10, 12, 15, 20, 30 and 40 yard. If the truck path is tight, start smaller and add a second haul rather than forcing an oversized container onto a short pad.
- Garage, basement or condo cleanout — often a 10 or 12 yard when access is tight.
- Kitchen / bath reno or flooring — commonly 12 or 15 yard.
- Roofing tear-off — shingles are heavy; call before assuming a large bin.
- Yard / landscaping — size follows green waste volume and soil.
- Larger renovation or demolition — 20, 30 or 40 yard when the pad and truck path allow.
- Dirt, concrete or brick — heavy loads often need a smaller bin; confirm when you call.
What can go in the bin
Typical loads include renovation debris, household garbage cleanouts, concrete, dirt, wood, drywall and roofing tear-off. Confirm paint, chemicals, propane, tires, appliances, e-waste, liquids, mattresses and anything that might contain asbestos when you book. Where the bin can go — private vs public
A private driveway or private pad is the default plan across Greater Vancouver. Placing a container on a public street, roadway, boulevard or lane usually needs that municipality’s permission — and the names are not interchangeable. Burnaby uses a Temporary Container Placement Permit on public property; Surrey uses a Traffic Obstruction Permit (TOP) for containers on City property; Richmond uses Temporary Placement of Container on City Road or Boulevard (TO-7). Those are examples only — open the matching city page for the drop address rather than treating this hub as a permit manual. Trash King does not apply for the customer’s municipal permit. If you are in Vancouver proper, confirm public-property rules with the City of Vancouver and prefer a driveway whenever it fits; this hub does not reprint a full City Street Occupancy how-to.
Bin delivery across Greater Vancouver
Urban laneways, hillside North Shore grades, new-build cul-de-sacs and rural-fringe accesses are different truck and placement problems. Dense street grids need shorter swing notes; hillside lots need grade and overhead-wire notes; cul-de-sac pads need a clear end-of-street description; longer rural approaches need surface and turnaround notes.
