Pocket Door Frames and Hardware: Hidden Framing Debris

Opened wall showing a pocket door frame and track

Taking out a pocket door opens framing and drywall. Keep the track, wood and drywall in separate piles.

Pocket doors hide framing debris

Pocket door rollers and track on a dust sheet

The wall can hide a split frame, a metal track and sometimes wiring. Metal track goes to scrap. Unpainted framing may go to a clean wood program.

Pull the rollers and stops. Bag drywall cuts and dust. Drywall dated 1990 or newer is accepted. Older or undated drywall needs a lab report showing no asbestos.

Loading hidden frames

Lay long frame pieces level. Once the metal is out, a junk bin clears the rest.

When a bin fits

We deliver, you fill the bin, and we haul it away when you are finished. The 20-yard junk bin is where most people start. We also have a 15-yard bin, but it is often sold out, so ask when you book.

Driveway and yard spots need no permit. Street, boulevard or lane rules depend on your City, so confirm before you book. Share the permit dates with us and we will time the drop off.

A junk bin is the wrong place for batteries, electronics, propane tanks, paint, solvents, pharmaceuticals or asbestos. Asbestos is never permitted in any Trash King bin. Search Metro Vancouver Recycles or call 604-732-9253 if you are unsure.

For standing limits, use our disposal bins and what not to put in a bin pages.
